OUR STORY
The Del Valle Community Coalition has existed for ten years advocating for the community. In 2020, DVCC became a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Mission: Del Valle Community Coalition Non- Profit is a charitable organization that defends human and civil rights in underprivileged and under-served communities by fostering an environment where a coalition of our community works to cultivate a pipeline of engaged and empowered citizens that will pursue proactive solutions to community challenges when working with City and County leaders
Vision: We seek to improve the quality of life in Del Valle through advocacy, education, and civic engagement.
HEALTH CARE ACCESS
The Del Valle Community Coalition Non-Profit believes that the current healthcare system should be affordable and accessible to all of Del Valle's residents. Everyone should be able to see a doctor without distance being a major hurdle. Healthcare is a human right and we believe the current healthcare system needs to go further in making sure no one is left without coverage.
ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
The goal of DVCC is to advocate for development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies so that everyone enjoys the same degree of a healthy environment.
FOOD ACCESS
DVCC works to find new strategies for obtaining access to food. Del Valle is a food desert with many residents having to travel up to 35 minutes to get to a grocery store.Â
We advocate for the community to have better access to fulfill the most basic of needs.
Education
DVCC is committed to educating community members on important topics. Currently DVCC holds homeowner education events every month as apart of their Homeowner Resilience Program. Education events are free to everyone and family friendly. Topics covered are property taxes & protest, financial literacy, and estate planning.
